Full-Time Head of AI - New Solution

Sword Health is on a mission to provide pain-free living to millions. As a leading end-to-end pain management platform, we leverage technology to predict, prevent, and treat pain.

The AI Team is focused on utilizing AI and ML to personalize and scale high-quality clinical care. We collaborate closely with clinicians to develop ML-powered solutions for optimal patient outcomes.

This role is for a Head of AI leading a new AI unit developing a cutting-edge pain solution.

Responsibilities:

• Architect and lead the development of scalable, production-grade AI solutions, emphasizing Generative AI.
• Drive technical strategy for the enterprise ML platform (model deployment, monitoring, optimization).
• Lead a team of ML Engineers, Backend, and Frontend developers.
• Collaborate with the core AI team to deploy cutting-edge AI solutions.
• Ensure technical excellence, compliance, and safety in all AI deployments.
• Act as a hands-on technical leader making architectural decisions, conducting code reviews, and upholding engineering standards.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years experience building and deploying production ML systems at scale.
• Proven track record leading teams in delivering AI products.
• Strong judgment and ability to deliver quickly.
• Solid understanding of modern tech/AI stacks.
• Extensive experience with MLOps, ML system architecture, and strong software engineering background.
• Strong product sense and ability to influence product decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with large-scale AI deployments in healthcare.
• Familiarity with healthcare data systems and compliance.
• Experience with conversational AI.
