Head of Real Estate & Facilities - Home-Based, UK - Travel Expected
This new role, reporting to the Vice President of Business Operations, will manage all real estate across the Telefónica Group, primarily in the UK, with satellite offices in Ireland, Bulgaria, and India.
You will work closely with Finance, the Legal In-House Team, ESG Manager, and H&S/Facilities Manager, supported by an Office Manager and a team of five Office Administrators.

Real Estate
- Be responsible for the management of all real estate (freehold and leasehold) across the Telefónica group.
- With input from the finance and legal teams, negotiating new leases, lease renewals and rent reviews
- Liaising with the local authority in relation to business rates
- Project managing office relocations, closures and refits
- Be the main point of contact with landlords
- Collect data on energy efficiency and carbon usage
Hard and Soft Facilities
- Overall responsibility for hard and soft facilities, including:
- Collaboration with stakeholders, and supported by Facilities Team, ensure that all office locations are fitted in accordance with the company’s requirements and appropriate to the brand
- Ensuring all facilities are operating to a high standard and in line with company requirements and UK regulations
- Continuously improving and updating the office environment
- Development of tender/contract specifications to meet the company’s requirements for all properties within the portfolio
- Selecting, negotiating, consolidating and managing all property-related contracts including facilities, cleaning, maintenance, CCTV, utilities
- Ensuring all properties meet regulatory requirements, including Health and Safety
Travel to sites across the UK will be required.
