As a Data Scientist, work with client services and product delivery teams to build data solutions for healthcare performance measurement and analytic web applications, helping clients optimize quality and cost-efficiency of hospital care.
Responsibilities include:
- Managing and analyzing large datasets (clinical registries, administrative data, billing claims, insurance data, etc.) and performing statistical analysis.
- Developing clear analytic plans.
- Creating efficient, reusable code for data manipulation and analysis using SAS, SQL, and potentially Python.
- Building statistical models, validating performance, and diagnosing issues.
- Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders about analytic data processing.
- Assessing technical challenges, proposing solutions, and resolving complex problems.
- Collaborating effectively in a team environment and handling multiple projects.
- Demonstrating experience in data manipulation and analysis using SAS, SQL and optionally Python.
- Processing large, complex health insurance claims datasets with SAS and SQL.
- Fitting and validating statistical models (e.g., linear and logistic regression).
- Interpreting model coefficients and working with servers, Linux command line, bash, or Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL).
- Familiarity with Git and GitLab preferred.
- Experience with advanced machine learning models (e.g., random forests, LLMs) a plus.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- A record of academic and/or business achievement.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Information, Operations Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, IT, Computer Science) preferred.
- At least 2-3 years of analytic programming experience, ideally in healthcare.

Salary Range: $85,000 - $105,000 annually.
