Part-Time Home Care Worker

It takes a special person to be a Home Care Worker and help the older members of our community maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. We are looking for that person to join the Silverchain team.

• Care about assisting our aged community members to live independently at home for longer.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems.

In addition, you will need:

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• An interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).

The role:

In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services, such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
