Part-Time Home Care Worker

We are looking for a Home Care Worker to help older community members maintain their home and enhance their wellbeing. Join the Silverchain team in the Kettering 7155 area.

• Care about assisting aged community members to live independently.
• Comfortable working independently.

In addition, you will need:

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• 3 months or more in a similar role.

The role includes providing:

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.

You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:

• Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day.
• Assisting with mobility and therapy goals.
• Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia.
• Providing social and emotional support.
• Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
