In addition, you will need:
- A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle
- Experience of 3 months or more in a similar professional role, with experience in with personal care, manual handling, hoist training and medications.
The role
In the role of Care Worker you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:
- General housekeeping and making beds
- Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors
- Washing, folding and ironing laundry
- Meal preparation and grocery shopping
You will also be providing our aged care clients with personal care services such as:
- Getting clients out of bed, showered and dressed for the day
- Assisting clients to take their medications
- Assisting with mobility and therapy goals
- Providing complex care for customers with high care needs, such as dementia
- Providing social and emotional support
- Providing the client with transport to lifestyle activities or appointments
- Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
