Part-Time Home Care Worker - QLD Brisbane Bayside - PPT - Entry Level

It takes a special person to be a Care Worker and help the older members of our community to maintain their independence and wellbeing. We are looking for just that person to join the Silverchain team in the Belmont area.

• Enjoy having variety in their day.

• Can build positive relationships with clients and their families.
• Are comfortable working independently and finding solutions to everyday problems, knowing when to ask your manager for help.

In addition, you will need:

• A valid Australian Driver's Licence & your own insured, roadworthy vehicle.
• An interest in community care or aged care (experience preferred but not essential).

The role

In the role of Home Care Worker, you will be providing our aged care clients with home help services such as:

• General housekeeping and making beds.
• Cleaning, mopping and vacuuming floors.
• Washing, folding and ironing laundry.
• Meal preparation and grocery shopping.
• Providing social support and transport to lifestyle activities.
• Helping the family carer to have a break or an opportunity to do other things.
