Full-Time HVAC Project Engineer

We are seeking a motivated, passionate individual to join our team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of innovative HVAC products, systems and their applications.
• Support customer inquiries with technical guidance.
• Create project proposals communicating the solution, pricing, and features.
• Conduct calculations for sizing and selecting HVAC systems.
• Design and select alternative HVAC systems for improved performance and energy savings.
• Interpret engineer drawings, complete take-offs/spec conversions and bid packages.
• Use manufacturer design software to design solutions.
• Model heat pump systems.
• Troubleshoot customer problems.
• Build relationships with vendors, teammates, customers, and partners.
• Communicate energy efficiency incentive programs.
• Manage mid-to-large projects and communicate with stakeholders.
• Deliver financial solutions to secure bids.
• Engage with stakeholders through tradeshows, webinars, and meetings.
• Research and recommend new products, services, and programs.
• Adhere to safety regulations.

Qualifications:

• College diploma or University degree in engineering (mechanical, civil, electrical), architecture, building science, or HVAC trades.
• Outstanding customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Relationship building skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience working in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean abstract.

Preferred Skills:

• Mechanical engineering or building science background.
• Experience with air source/ground source/water source/heat pumps, ERV's/HRV's, hydronics, commercial ventilation, VRF systems, or refrigeration systems.
• Experience using Excel for data manipulation and reporting.
• Sales, business development or management experience.
• Certifications (BCIN, HRAI HVAC design certifications, LEED, CEA, CRE, CEM, CET, CMVP).
• Experience with energy modelling or design software (Hourly Analysis Program, Wrightsoft, eQuest, HOT2000, etc.).
