As an Infrastructure DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the infrastructure supporting our applications and services. You will work closely with development, operations, and security teams to ensure reliability, scalability, and security of our DevOps environment.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Engineering and Administration: Design, implement, and maintain infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, or Azure DevOps). Collaborate with development teams for seamless integration of new features and services. Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to streamline development and deployment. Ensure all environments are consistent and up-to-date to improve reliability and quality of CI/CD. Leverage cloud technologies for innovation and competitive edge. Provide documentation for all applications and systems.
- Maintenance & Projects: Monitor Cloud Services, Systems, and Network for optimal performance. Apply security patches and updates to cloud infrastructure. Respond to and report systems failures and security events. Provide off-hours support for critical incidents. Maintain technical documentation for solutions and standard operating procedures. Recommend and perform DevOps configuration adjustments to solve problems. Manage complex projects and ongoing operations. Meet project and task deadlines.
- Service/System Improvements: Identify and implement improvement ideas. Continuously improve and refine the DevOps environment. Stay informed about emerging technology. Help define and meet SLA requirements for DevOps and IaC. Share technical skills, industry experience and best practices with the team.
- Communication & Collaboration: Communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Work effectively in a team environment. Establish and maintain strong relationships with staff, customers, and vendors. Other duties as assigned.
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or relevant experience.
- 5+ years experience as a Cloud engineer in a public cloud (AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure).
- 3+ years DevOps engineering experience using relevant technologies.
- Experience deploying Infrastructure as code, containerization technologies (Docker and Kubernetes).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, or PowerShell).
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills.
- Strong computer skills, good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to travel as required.
