Canvas is revolutionizing the remodeling, architecture and interior design industry through AI and computer vision technology. Our LiDAR-enabled iPhone/iPad scans create accurate 3D home models. Our proprietary process transforms these scans into editable, as-built files.
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to help us scale, secure and maintain our systems.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor, maintain, and improve infrastructure across various environments and services.
- Ensure system reliability and uptime through observability and alerting.
- Lead Linux system administration and hardening for enhanced security.
- Manage and improve cloud infrastructure (AWS-focused).
- Own and enhance CI/CD systems and deployment automation (GitLab CI/CD).
- Implement and maintain infrastructure-as-code using tools like Terraform and Ansible.
- Participate in incident response and postmortems, translating learnings into action.
- Provide technical support and ongoing maintenance for infrastructure-related projects.
- Proactively identify and mitigate security risks.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to support their infrastructure needs and deployments.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong Linux knowledge, including performance tuning and security hardening.
- Experience with cloud platforms (especially AWS) and best practices.
- Knowledge of modern information security principles and effective application.
- Proficiency with monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, New Relic, Datadog).
- Experience writing infrastructure automation using Ansible and Terraform.
- Proficiency with Git and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
- Understanding of container technologies and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Ability to write and maintain automation scripts and tooling (Python).
Preferred Qualifications (will make you stand out):
- Experience with Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana.
- Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL).
- Experience managing production-grade Kubernetes clusters.
- Passion for clean documentation and systems architecture clarity.
- Experience supporting compliance and security audits.
