Infrastructure Engineer This is a contract opportunity located in Alpharetta, GA.About this positionWe're seeking a highly motivated Infrastructure Engineer to join our team, supporting the services and products that power critical business operations. In this role, you’ll focus on NetBackup systems and play an integral part in the infrastructure’s day-to-day performance. If you are adaptable, organized, and eager to contribute to a fast-paced environment, this position is ideal for you.
Job Responsibilities
- Maintain and develop infrastructure systems to ensure smooth operations.
- Develop tools to support deployment and monitor system health.
- Document, assess, and present project assignments.
- Evaluate and recommend both commercial and open-source software.
- Automate complex processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Skills/Requirements
- 4+ years of experience with UNIX/Linux, strong understanding of Linux OS.
- BASH or other shell scripting knowledge.
- 5+ years of experience working with VERITAS NetBackup, including Flex Appliances and Cloud Storage.
- 2+ years of Veritas IT Analytics experience (installation and administration).
- 3+ years working with Quantum Tape Systems.
