Full-Time IT Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator (DBA) with over 6 years of experience in managing, maintaining, and optimizing SQL Server databases.

Key Responsibilities:

• Database Administration: Manage and maintain SQL Server databases ensuring high availability, scalability, and security.
• Azure Cloud Management: Administer SQL Server instances hosted on Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, and Azure Virtual Machines.
• T-SQL Development: Develop and optimize complex T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions to meet business requirements.
• Automation of Repetitive DBA Tasks: Automate routine DBA tasks using PowerShell and SQL Server Agent Jobs.
• Backup and Restore Operations: Perform and automate backup and restore processes between on-premises and cloud (Azure) databases.
• Change Data Capture (CDC): Implement and manage CDC to track changes in the database.
• Job Monitoring and Alerts: Set up monitoring and alerting for SQL Server jobs and system health.
• SSL Implementations: Configure and manage SSL/TLS encryption for SQL Server instances.
• Performance Tuning & Optimization: Continuously monitor database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and applying optimizations.
• Collaboration & Support: Collaborate with development teams to ensure database designs support application requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Experience with T-SQL development.
• Proven experience in SQL Server performance tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in Azure SQL Database and Azure SQL Managed Instance deployments, migrations, and management.
• Deep understanding of SQL Server architecture, including high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
• Experience with PowerShell scripting for automating DBA tasks.
• Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC) for tracking changes in the database.
• Proficiency in setting up and configuring SSIS and SSRS for SQL Server data communications.
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, SolarWinds, and Azure Monitor.
• Knowledge of SQL Server Agent for job management and automation.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.

Desired Qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
• Experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Familiarity with database version control and deployment tools (e.g., Devops, Visual Studio,SSMS).
