IT Service Desk Specialist - This is a contract opportunity. This is a hybrid opportunity in Miami, FL

About this Position

In this role, you will assist with device issues, application/service inquiries, and general user support. You’ll coordinate investigations, collaborate with the team to address trends, and work on project assignments. If you have technical expertise in Windows, Mac, and iOS systems and enjoy working in a dynamic, team-oriented environment, this could be the perfect role for you.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Coordinate investigations to resolve internal IT issues related to applications, services, and end-user devices.
  2. Conduct research to understand, explain, and resolve incidents.
  3. Communicate updates to users affected by incidents.
  4. Utilize Service Desk Jira Service Management and JIRA board software to track incidents, service requests, and unplanned tasks.
  5. Assist with onboarding new users and setting up their devices.
  6. Ensure response times meet SLAs for incidents and service requests.
  7. Route escalations or incidents outside of Tier I scope.
  8. Collaborate with team members to address trending issues and knowledge gaps.
  9. Work on project assignments as delegated by management.

Job Skills/Requirements

  • 6 months+ of experience delivering IT services in a similar role.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a customer-first mentality.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Competence in computer systems and operating systems (Windows 10, Mac OS, iOS).
  • Experience with Service Desk Jira Service Management and JIRA board is preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to adapt to frequent changes in processes, systems, and ways of working.
