Summary:
The Staff Java Developer will be leading the contractors and allowing for true separation of the PCR team from the rest of the team so they can operate independently. They're looking for 8+ years of experience, with experience leading team members (ideally at least 5+) including mentoring, code reviews, performance conversations, as well as be able to lead from an architectural perspective. The Staff Java Developer must also be hands-on in the code from a technical standpoint in addition to the leadership piece. This person will be supporting store systems (all the software that runs in the stores) and will be specifically aligned in checkout (specifically self-checkout). They will be overseeing a lot of the POS and self-checkout systems
REQUIREMENTS:
* 8+ years of Java experience
* Experience leading team members (ideally at least 5+) including mentoring, code reviews, performance conversations, etc.
* Architectural experience (architecture is existing and in place but need to be equipped to make decisions regarding architecture)
* Must also be hands-on in the code from a technical standpoint in addition to the leadership piece
* Retail/e-Commerce/Payment/Checkout experience prioritized
* Expert in springboot
* Experience in Cloud (Google Cloud Platform preferred)
* Expert in Kubernetes and cloud concepts
* Heavy experience in payments, checkout, POS (point of sale)
* Lead experience (For Staff Engineers; experience doing code reviews, mentoring etc.)
* Ability to communicate/collaborate within an agile environment
* Proactive nature, need to be able to drive things forward
