Job Details
Colony provides business networking services to major telecom carriers like Telus, Cogeco and Rogers. We've been referred to as the "Business" behind Business Internet... and it's true. Unlike residential broadband or a personal mobile plan, Business Internet services are provided to both Small-to-Medium and Enterprise customers with advanced features like proactive device/circuit monitoring, corporate/guest wi-fi portals, remote network access control, and others. That's what we do today.
Colony is now hiring a Junior DevOps Engineer to contribute to platform engineering and infrastructure operations, and also to help as part of the technical support team as required. The successful candidate will maintain system reliability, automating infrastructure tasks, and expanding observability capabilities.

- Experience working with technical team(s) to deliver great software in a CI/CD culture
- Good customer service skills, especially when interacting with clients as part of technical support
- Working experience with a support ticketing system (e.g., Zendesk, ServiceNow, or similar)
- Excellent English communication, both verbal and written
Skills and Capabilities:
- Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with Kubernetes (GKE, EKS, or AKS)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform for infrastructure management, deployment, and optimization
- Familiarity with GitHub Actions or similar CI/CD tools for automating build, test and deployment workflows
- Experience with Terraform for automated infrastructure provisioning and management
- Good programming/scripting skills in Python and Bash to automate DevOps workflows
Skills and Capabilities(continued):
- Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
- Experience with Kubernetes operators, Helm charts
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL
- Understanding of firewalls, VPNs, IAM, security best practices and network protocols

Additional Qualifications:
