Full-Time Junior DevOps Engineer

Protofire is seeking a Junior specialist to join our team, focusing on internal system administration.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and maintain our physical servers.
• Ensure uptime and address hardware issues.
• Maintain backups and apply security patches.
• Update and review internal project documentation.
• Assist senior DevOps engineers on commercial projects, tasks like containerization or monitoring setup.

Growth Opportunities:

• Learn modern DevOps practices (cloud, container orchestration, advanced monitoring).

Requirements:

• Linux maintenance, monitoring, and optimization experience.
• Bare metal server management experience.
• Shell scripting (sh, bash) experience.
• Understanding of containers (Docker, Docker-compose).
• Understanding of cloud computing.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with expertise in writing documentation.
• Required English level: B1+.
• Nice to have (but can be learned):
• Proxmox server management experience.
• Cloud experience (AWS, GCP, Azure - AWS preferred)
• Cloud certifications.
• IaC (Terraform), automation modules (Ansible).
• Knowledge of high availability, scalability, resilience, application performance, and security in the cloud.
• Cross-clouds/hybrid cloud integrations.
• Blockchain understanding.
• GoLang, Kubernetes, Telegraf, ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana.
