The Junior Software Developer assists in the design, development, testing, and maintenance of software applications under senior developer guidance. The role involves close collaboration with experienced developers, project contributions, and gaining hands-on experience in the software development lifecycle.
Open to candidates in Poland.
Hybrid role for candidates within 50 km of Warsaw, or remote for those outside this radius.
Reports to the Managing Director - Ulula.
- Write and maintain code for software applications based on specifications.
- Assist in development of new features and enhancements.
- Adhere to coding standards and best practices for clean, efficient code.
- Perform basic software testing (unit and integration).
- Document and report bugs and issues.
- Collaborate with senior developers and team members to understand project requirements.
- Attend team meetings and training sessions.
- Keep current with software development tools and best practices.
- Seek opportunities for learning and professional development.
Required Experience:
- 1+ years of experience with PHP and Laravel.
- Experience with software design and development in a test-driven, continuous integration and deployment environment.
- Knowledge of PHP, JavaScript, and associated frameworks (e.g., Vue.js, Laravel).
- Quick learner with ability to learn new languages and technologies.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Attention to detail, resourcefulness, and troubleshooting aptitude.
Preferred Qualifications:
- BSc or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in software development.
