Full-Time Junior Software Engineer

We are looking for a junior software engineer with knowledge of full stack application development. You will work with other developers, testers and the product owner to design and implement technical solutions. This role is remote, with the flexibility to attend meetups in Birmingham and Tamworth as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Know how software works, how to break it (and fix it)
• Iteration planning and estimation
• Increasing your development experience and knowledge
• Taking responsibility for pull requests
• Contributing to tech decisions together with the team
• Contributing to and maintaining team documentation wikis

What you will be doing:

• Front end SPA development with Blazor
• .NET Core API development with C#
• Entity Framework

You’ll have knowledge of software development life cycles in an agile environment including story estimation, planning and grooming a product backlog. Technically you should have some practical experience building sustainable, scalable, and well-documented APIs and front-end SPA frameworks.

Desirable Skills:

• Continuous Integration and Deployment using Azure DevOps
• Experience with Hangfire, RabbitMQ, MongoDB
• Use of Test Driven Development and writing Unit Tests

Note: Security clearance is required for this role. To gain security clearance you must have five years continuous residency in the UK. All successful applicants will be required to undertake drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing employment.
