Job Details
We are looking for an experienced Kubernetes Cluster Administrator to manage and maintain large-scale on-premises Kubernetes clusters. This role is key to ensuring the reliability, performance, and scalability of the infrastructure that supports critical applications and services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Deploy, manage, and maintain on-premises Kubernetes clusters
- Monitor cluster performance and availability to ensure high stability and resilience
- Ensure cluster security through RBAC, network policies, and secure configurations
- Optimize resource usage through effective pod scheduling and service configuration
- Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated build and deployment
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cluster operation and performance
- Perform regular maintenance tasks, such as patching, upgrading, and scaling
- Automate routine tasks using scripts and appropriate tools
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless application integration
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree is a plus)
Experience:
- Proven experience managing large-scale Kubernetes clusters in production environments
- Solid background in Linux system administration
- Experience with containerization technologies, especially Docker
Know-how:
- Deep understanding of Kubernetes architecture and components
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
- Experience with Kubernetes-related tools such as Helm, Istio, and Prometheus
- Solid knowledge of networking protocols and security best practices
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools
- Understanding of CI/CD concepts and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Knowledge of storage solutions and persistent volumes in Kubernetes is a plus
Languages:
- Fluent in English (spoken and written)
- Knowledge of other languages is an advantage
