The Team: You’ll be joining our 30-person engineering organization and will report directly to the VP of Engineering.
The Role: You will lead the charge in creating the next stage of our product's evolution, defining the AI roadmap and setting the technical foundation for the future AI/ML team.
The Challenges:
- Charting the Course: Turn the blank slate of our AI strategy into a clear, strategic roadmap.
- Building the First Engine: Build our AI capability from scratch atop a solid foundation.
- Pioneering Integration: Navigate the challenges of integrating new, intelligent systems with a mature platform.
Why This Role Matters: You will help reduce tedious tasks for our customers and create unique, innovative experiences.
Outcomes You Will Drive:
- Design and deploy our first set of AI-powered features.
- Develop a long-term vision and roadmap for AI.
- Architect and implement robust LLM orchestration systems.
- Integrate AI/ML models into our existing platform, leveraging techniques like RAG.
- Establish best practices for the full AI/ML lifecycle.
What We're Looking For:
- 8+ years of overall software engineering experience, 6+ years of hands-on AI/ML experience
- Proven experience building and shipping AI/ML features in a production environment.
- Hands-on experience with Large Language Models (LLMs).
- Familiarity with LLM orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with vector databases and embedding techniques.
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- (Bonus) Experience with model fine-tuning and building complex, multi-step AI agents.
