540 is seeking a Lead DevSecOps Engineer to manage and mentor a DevSecOps team.
The successful candidate will drive the development and implementation of secure, scalable, and automated solutions for the DoD's Air Force integration platform, leveraging Apigee and Google Cloud (GCP).
Location: Remote within the continental United States. East Coast working hours preferred with flexibility.
Citizenship & Clearance: US Citizen with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related engineering field (preferred).

Required Skills & Experience:
- 7+ years leading, mentoring, and managing DevSecOps Engineers
- 7+ years experience with Cloud Service Providers (AWS, GCP, Azure), GCP highly preferred
- 5+ years creating/maintaining CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.)
- Experience with containerized application and microservices architecture (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Configuration Management experience (Ansible, Puppet, etc.)
- Experience deploying applications in DoD or other accredited federal environments requiring IA certification and accreditation
- In-depth knowledge of DevSecOps best practices
- Understanding of networking concepts
- Proficiency with Git and Gitflow
- Current CompTIA Security+ and ability to obtain required certifications within 2 months
- Proficiency with macOS
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively with clients
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
- Experience with Database technologies (PostgreSQL, MySQL)
- Experience with API Gateways (Apigee, Kong, Tyk, etc.)
- Experience securing sensitive data (DoD Banner Lines, ISM)
- Experience with DoD Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs)
