As a valued colleague on our LIHTC (Low Income Housing Tax Credit) Asset Management team, you will provide expert advice and guide team members in managing the administration, strategic planning, and operations of an assigned portfolio of LIHTC investments.
Impact: The LIHTC Asset Manager role will offer flexibility, while working with people who care, to deliver responsibilities such as:
- Act as a relationship manager with syndicator partners in the development, construction, and operation of LIHTC investments.
- Analyze Multifamily portfolio data, counterparties, markets, legal agreements/terms, financial statements, and cash flows to identify trends and draw conclusions.
- Resolve problems and source information to negotiate with management and external stakeholders to mitigate financial and credit risk.
- Navigate multiple systems, manage data, and create reports to ensure data quality and integrity. Improve processes to monitor and communicate credit risk.
- Lead and support the development of action plans for non-routine projects (e.g., regulatory and internal audit activities).
- Support a portfolio's vision and strategic objectives.
- Lead portfolio progress analysis and enact changes, along with reporting portfolio performance to key stakeholders.
- Evaluate the risk of current assets while complying with governance and controls.
- Act as a subject matter specialist and provide knowledge sharing with team members to facilitate business unit objectives.
Experience Required:
- Minimum of 4 years of related experience.
- Knowledge of the Multifamily market (LIHTC, affordable housing finance, real estate finance, transactions, structures, legal contracts, loan documents, third-party reports, cap rates, and credit analysis).
- Knowledge of commercial multifamily real estate markets and property types, focusing on LIHTC business.
- Experience managing Multifamily LIHTC equity assets.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including communicating complex ideas to colleagues and stakeholders.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills; ability to collaborate with multiple business units, and strong customer relationship management skills.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented team player.
- Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage time and resources efficiently.
- Sound analytical skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel.
- Ability to travel occasionally.
Desired Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a related field.
- Multifamily acquisition and disposition experience.
- Experience with equity or debt portfolio management software/systems (e.g., MRI, Salesforce, Yardi).
