Full-Time Machine Learning Engineer, Personalization

Wolt's Personalization team creates tailored customer experiences across the shopping journey, selecting the best restaurants, dishes, or items matching preferences.

The team owns the ML stack, models, and integrations for real-time recommendations for millions of customers.

Responsibilities:

• Build ML infrastructure for developing, training, and deploying ranking models.
• Work end-to-end from use case design to implementation, delivery, and monitoring.
• Maintain production ML stack and raise engineering excellence.
• Liaise with Wolt's ML Platform team.
• Contribute to Wolt ML Engineering and Applied Science communities.
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams (Applied Scientists, Software Engineers, Analysts).
• Work at scale (30 markets, millions of customers).

Requirements:

• Production-level Applied Science/ML experience (prototyping, deploying, maintaining, improving).
• Deep understanding of machine learning and statistics, including rare event modeling and real-time inference.
• Ability to tackle complex domains, solve problems, and develop novel solutions.
• Strong communication skills for technical discussions with non-technical stakeholders.
• Fintech domain experience preferred.
• A/B testing experience.
• Solid engineering skills, proficiency in Python, SQL, and good software engineering practices (MLOps).
• Degree in a relevant field (preferred).
• Analytical, curious, proactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
