About the Role SandboxAQ's AI Simulation group partners with global research teams to discover new drugs and materials using AI and physics-based computational solutions. We seek an experienced researcher to drive innovative drug discovery projects leveraging informatics, machine learning, and computational chemistry.
What You'll Do
- Design and implement software addressing drug discovery needs using informatics, machine learning, and computational chemistry.
- Contribute to research using physics-based simulation, deep learning, and knowledge graphs.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in drug discovery.
- Leverage Bayesian optimization and active learning for data-driven decisions.
- Collaborate with experts to rapidly prototype and scale drug design solutions.
- Translate research to maintainable software.
- Contribute to the scientific community through patents, journal articles, and conference presentations.
- Translate insights to actionable drug discovery hypotheses.
About You
- Education: PhD in chemistry, biology, computer science, or related field.
- Experience: 1-5 years of relevant experience in drug discovery (private sector, biotech/pharma).
- Skills: Cheminformatics, bioinformatics, molecular property prediction, multi-objective optimization, Python (numpy, pandas, scipy, scikit-learn, pytorch), cheminformatics/bioinformatics toolkits (e.g., rdkit, openeye), GPU computing.
- Other: Interest in computational chemistry, ability to cooperate, hands-on approach, problem-solving, project completion, located in EMEA.
