Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced ML Data Engineer to join our team remotely, with a preference for candidates based in Santa Clara, CA. In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping data and preparing curated data sets essential for training and fine-tuning AI/ML models. You will collaborate closely with data scientists and engineers to ensure the quality and readiness of data for machine learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Shape and prepare data sets for training and fine-tuning AI/ML models.
- Curate and optimize data sets for model development and deployment.
- Utilize tools and platforms such as Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Redshift to manage and process large data sets.
- Collaborate with data scientists to understand data requirements and ensure data quality.
- Implement data management best practices to support scalable and efficient ML model training.
Qualifications:
- Strong experience in data engineering, particularly in shaping and curating data sets for AI/ML models.
- Proficiency with Spark, Hive, Kafka, and Redshift.
- AWS Certified Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Certified Data Engineer Associate certification required.
- Solid understanding of data processing frameworks and pipelines.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in working with large-scale data sets in cloud environments, particularly AWS.
- Familiarity with AI/ML model development and deployment processes.
