Full-Time Manager of Machine Learning

Role Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machine Learning Manager to lead our dynamic ML team. This role offers a perfect blend of strategic leadership and hands-on technical work, providing the opportunity to guide projects while remaining actively involved in their development. A key focus of this role is exposure to and integration with cutting-edge technologies, including large language models (LLMs).

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Strategy:

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of machine learning engineers and data scientists.
• Develop and implement strategic plans for AI and ML projects, aligning them with company goals.
• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning.

Hands-On Development:

• Participate directly in the development and optimization of machine learning models, with a particular focus on LLMs.
• Collaborate with the team to design and deploy scalable ML solutions.
• Review and improve existing models and pipelines to ensure they meet performance and scalability requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Work closely with product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to integrate ML solutions into products.
• Translate business requirements into actionable technical tasks and ensure alignment across departments.
• Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and effectively.

Research & Innovation:

• Stay updated on the latest trends and advancements in machine learning, particularly in LLMs.
• Lead initiatives for exploring new technologies and methodologies to enhance the company’s AI capabilities.
• Encourage a culture of experimentation and knowledge sharing within the team.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in machine learning, with a strong background in developing and deploying ML models.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs and familiarity with their application in various contexts.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a track record of leading successful ML projects.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, and experience with ML frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical information to diverse audiences.
