We will require the successful candidates to:
- Determine a set of topics within each strand of the New Zealand Mathematics Curriculum (finalised October 2024)
- Outline a set of core lessons within each topic, this plan will include:
- Create a map of the learning progression between topics and lessons across years 4-6
- Attend an initial briefing meeting and other occasional meetings for discussion and feedback throughout the project.
This role does not require the creation of any content.
This work will all be conducted remotely using the suite of Google Applications (Docs and Sheets) and time management software to track completion.
The work is expected to take approximately 36 hours to complete (per contracted advisor) and must be delivered within 4 weeks of the agreed start date. Upon successful completion of the project, a payment of $2500 NZD will be made.
Requirements of this position include:
- Minimum 5 years of experience teaching mathematics in New Zealand Years 4-6
- Knowledge of the new New Zealand Mathematics Curriculum (finalised October 2024)
- Current or former Curriculum Leader
- You are experienced in developing curriculum maps and writing lesson plans to meet specific curriculum outcomes
- Experience using Education Perfect in the classroom is advantageous
- Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to a strict timeline
