Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager

Under the direction of the Director or Manager of Revenue Cycle Management, the Accounts Receivable (AR) Manager is responsible for complete, accurate, and timely processing of all designated claims. Reviews and responds to daily correspondence from physician practices. Answers incoming Salesforce cases and provides requested information.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Manages accounts receivable (AR), analyzing aged AR for root cause issues.
• Develops rules to prevent errors.
• Manages denial management by investigating denial sources, resolving, and appealing denials.
• Makes independent decisions about claim adjustments, resubmission, appeals, and other resolution techniques.
• Collaborates with internal teams (Performance, Operations, Sales) and care center staff.
• Supports large care center go-lives, which may include overnight travel.
• Works with the Revenue Optimization team to ensure reimbursement aligns with payer contract agreements.
• Performs denial analysis using the Trizetto platform.
• Works with practice consultants or physicians to optimize revenue cycle functionality.
• Drives towards department KPIs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• High School Graduate
• 3+ years experience in a physician medical billing office
• Experience with Google Workspace preferred
• Experience with major payers (Anthem, Medicare/Medicaid, United Healthcare)
• Athena EHR experience preferred
• Advanced spreadsheet skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas) required
• Understanding of revenue cycle optimal performance
• Ability to investigate and resolve complex claims
• Compliance with HIPAA rules

Salary and Benefits:

Salary range: $45,000 to $55,000. Eligible for a 10% annual bonus, plus comprehensive benefits (medical, dental, vision, life, 401k, PTO, etc.).
