Full-Time Medical Science Liaison (m/d/f)

Santen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison to join their team in Germany. The position is field-based, combining office and home-office work in the regions around Leipzig, Dresden, and Berlin.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support medical affairs activities, collaborating with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and internal colleagues (Sales & Marketing, Clinical Development, etc.).
• Enhance physician awareness of Santen products through medical expertise.
• Gather scientific/medical feedback from customers.
• Attend local, national, and international congresses to interact with KOLs, analyze presentations, and stay current with scientific advancements.
• Present product data and new launches to healthcare professionals (physicians, hospital practitioners, formulary committees, pharmacists).
• Present data to internal Santen colleagues during conventions.
• Develop scientific educational materials and customer training programs; train internal colleagues.
• Support local R&D/Medical Affairs studies as needed.
• Adhere to Good Documentation Practices (GDP) guidelines.

Qualifications:

• University degree in Life Sciences (MD, pharmacist, biologist).
• Excellent German and English (written & spoken).
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an MSL.
• Ability to effectively convey clinical, scientific, and medical information.
• Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills; excellent teaching skills and business acumen.
• Ability to answer scientific/medical inquiries with accurate, relevant, and up-to-date information.
• Strong leadership and cross-functional relationship building skills (pan-European/international).
• Team-oriented style with the ability to influence key audiences.
• Ability to work independently, creatively, and innovatively.
• 80% travel required.
