What Does a Medical Writer Do?
At Eversana Intouch Medical Writers work as part of a multidisciplinary team to produce slide decks, white papers, scientific platforms, infographics, and other materials requiring scientific expertise and strategic communication skills. They are responsible for developing content that supports messaging and product positioning for pharmaceutical, biotech & medical device clients. In this role you will deliver compelling scientific stories to a diverse set of audiences including HCPs, patients, and payers working closely with strategic and creative teams. This is an integral role on a rapidly growing team with tremendous opportunity for career growth.
Responsibilities
- Develop compelling written materials that are scientifically accurate, appropriate to the target audience, and meet the strategic objectives of our clients
- Consult with broader strategic and creative teams to conceptualize ideas for inline work and/or new business pitches
- Leading client discussions centered around your work and providing strategic input
- Providing onsite support for events such as advisory board meetings and medical congresses
- Interacting with key opinion leaders to solicit their input and help develop relationships
- Maintaining a high level of knowledge in assigned therapeutic areas with respect to changes in treatment patterns, new data releases, and the overall competitive landscape
What Are We Looking For?
- An advanced degree; ideally PhD, PharmD, or MD
- A minimum of 2 years of scientific communication experience ideally in an agency setting
- Sound knowledge of pharmaceutical standards and regulations
- Strong scientific acumen coupled with an ability to tell a clear and compelling story
- Organizational and problem-solving abilities alongside excellent attention to detail;
- Ability to prioritize work in the context of timelines and demands;
- Proficiency with MS office tools such as powerpoint and excel
