Contractor Merchandise Assistant

Merchandise Assistant - This is a contract position. This is an onsite opportunity located in Framingham, MA.

Are you organized, detail-oriented, and ready to jump into the fast-paced world of retail merchandising? In this role, you’ll work closely with Buyers and Merchandise Managers to support key operations ensuring products get to the right place, at the right time. You’ll communicate with 50+ vendors, track purchase orders, coordinate travel, and help manage merchandise samples—all while gaining valuable hands-on experience in the retail industry.

Job Responsibilities

1. Prepare, revise, and track domestic and import purchase orders; ensure accuracy and required signatures.
2. Communicate with vendors daily to address PO issues, allocations, and shipping delays.
3. Coordinate travel and schedule vendor/agent visits for 2–5 Merchants and AVP.
4. Support cross-functional teams and other departments with administrative tasks.
5. Manage pre-production sample process and maintain sample organization and displays.

Job Skills/Requirements

• Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and follow-up with vendors and internal partners.
• Ability to manage purchase orders using systems like Buyer Worksheet or similar tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel to track weekly spend and generate reports.
• Comfortable with multi-tasking in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Pay Range

Pay Range: $18 - $20/hr
