Contractor Mid-Level DevOps Engineer

• Act as a subject matter expert in Terraform, Ansible, CI/CD, and Kubernetes.
• Develop robust Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform for AWS deployments.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and Concourse.
• Design and automate deployment workflows across multiple environments.
• Collaborate with QA engineers to implement K6s-based load testing within CI/CD pipelines.
• Set up and manage containerized environments using Kubernetes for microservices applications.
• Implement monitoring and observability solutions using Prometheus, Grafana, and Elasticsearch/Kibana.
• Establish best practice SDLC workflows, Git usage patterns, and version control strategies for automation code.
• Ensure automation integrates with broader DevSecOps practices, including security, identity, monitoring, and backups.
• Support agile team delivery and lead technical enablement sessions for development and operations teams.
• Communicate with internal and external teams to maintain momentum, resolve roadblocks, and ensure successful project execution.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in Automation/DevOps engineering roles.
• 3+ years of experience with Ansible and AWS, including working in Linux environments.
• 3+ years developing automation for applications in AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, IAM).
• 2+ years deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters.
• 2+ years writing and managing CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Concourse.
• Experience integrating QA and performance testing with tools like K6s.
• Solid experience using Terraform in collaborative, multi-user environments with distributed state.
• Proficiency in Git-based workflows for managing IaC (Infrastructure as Code).
• Experience in Agile environments with cross-functional teams.
• Experience with monitoring/alerting solutions, including Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK stack
