Full-Time ML Engineer / Software Engineer

At Scalable Capital, we're seeking an ML Engineer in our Data Science team. This role bridges software development and Machine Learning, focusing on applied generative AI for internal and future client services.

Responsibilities:

• Identify, evaluate, implement, and maintain Gen AI/ML technologies.
• Drive development of architectures for deploying and maintaining scalable ML/Gen AI solutions.
• Contribute to infrastructure components, CI/CD pipelines, and existing ML services on AWS.
• Evaluate retrieval techniques, language models, and generative AI methodologies.
• Implement automated testing and monitoring for AI system accuracy and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful AI integration.
• Stay current with industry developments and technologies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, Data Science, or related field.
• Generalist mindset with willingness to learn different domains (Backend, Frontend, AI/ML Infrastructure).
• Extensive experience in AI/ML technologies and software development (Python).
• Dockerization, cloud platforms (preferably AWS), and related ML/GenAI services (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Sagemaker).
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions), and version control.
• Experience with modern agentic workflow orchestration frameworks (Langgraph, LlamaIndex).
• Strong understanding of chains, routing, agents, RAG, and vector databases for managing data.
• Experience with FastAPI for building and deploying APIs.
• Familiarity with MLOps practices, model lifecycle, performance monitoring, and LLM use cases.
• Interest in financial services and markets is a plus.
• Experience with front-end development (e.g., Next.js) is a plus.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and hands-on mentality.
