Full-Time ML Platform Engineer

NIQ is looking for a Senior Platform Engineer to join our Enterprise Platform Engineering team in Chennai, India.

You will design, build, and maintain the core frameworks and platforms that power NIQ.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect scalable, resilient platforms.
• Build and maintain platform frameworks that support data science and machine learning workflows.
• Collaborate with application development, data science, and SRE teams.
• Deepen expertise in Kubernetes (EKS, AKS), Helm, Terraform, and GitOps tools (ArgoCD).
• Ensure seamless deployment via CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Azure Pipelines).
• Monitor, analyze, and optimize system performance and security using Prometheus, Grafana, and Datadog.
• Improve platform reliability, scalability, and availability by applying SRE principles.
• Create and maintain documentation for platforms and frameworks.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years in software development or DevOps, with 2+ years in platform engineering.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and GitOps tooling.
• Proficiency in cloud platforms (AWS and Azure).
• Familiarity with monitoring tools like Corelogix, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or OpenTelemetry.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitLab or GitHub actions.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
• Knowledge of networking concepts and API management tools.
• Experience with ML platforms (MLflow or Kubeflow) is a plus.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Team-oriented mindset.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
