The primary purpose of this role is to support the Risk and Protection team with the development and implementation of a suite of key initiatives to address known opportunities, specific to Retail Operations across the Risk & Protection function.
This successful candidate will be the functional Risk & Protection lead to enable the delivery and continuous improvement of Retail ‘At-Risk’ program, including site identification, and development of localised mitigation plans.
Collaborate & engage with key BWS and Dan Murphy’s Operational, Group Compliance and Legal leadership teams to provide regular/timely program updates.
Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role:
- Partners with a multitude of stakeholders including OPs, Safety, Finance and Risk and Protection functional leaders, ensuring initiative delivery is well planned and aligned across Risk & Protection, and Operational streams
- Leads understanding of domestic and international risk minimisation best practice, and develops plans to test appetite and feasibility within the Endeavour Retail Store network
- Collaborates with Risk and Protection functional stream leads, ensuring initiative delivery is well planned and aligned across Risk & Protection, and Operational streams
- Project Manage the implementation of relevant risk minimisation strategies as determined through cross brand and cross functional collaboration
- Map change management requirements associated with the delivery of key initiatives and objectives
- Identifies opportunities and develops plans to support the delivery of key Risk & Protection objectives
- Reviews BAU processes through a retail risk mitigation lens, and seeks to implement industry ‘best practice’ through the delivery of objectives
- Drive the identification, mitigation, and continuous improvement of Safety and Security risk identification and minimisation across retail sites. This includes developing localised mitigation plans and staying abreast of domestic and international best practices.
- Oversee the execution of strategies identified through cross-functional collaboration, including change management requirements
- Support the Group Operations Risk and Protection Manager with influencing the Endeavour Data and Artificial Intelligence (D&AI) function to enable the continuous improvement and maturation of the Endeavour ‘At-Risk’ Retail Dashboard, including associated tools and processes.
- Actively contribute to and lead elements of the Retail Safety & Risk Governance Forum as Risk & Protection Lead
- Develops and communicates Control Remediation Plans (CRP’s) to venues, Operations Area Groups, and State Leadership teams
- Provides regular program updates to key stakeholders, including any issues, risks, or barriers to delivery
- Develop and maintain project plans and associated change management requirements (if required)
- Understanding and interpretation of local & international risk minimisation best practice, that in turn drives development of suitable trials/PoC’s for consideration

- Demonstrated experience in managing implementation of complex projects across various stakeholder groups
- Intermediate - advanced skills utilising Endeavour systems (Google Suite, Tableau etc)
- Proficient in presenting data in various forms for presentations (Google Slides)
- Commercial acumen - ability to analyse and interpret various data points relating to Risk and Protection, and develop insights
- Demonstrated time / task management skills to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong cross functional stakeholder management & engagement
