American students have been suffering from falling literacy rates with 1 in 3 children performing below their grade level. As an American owned company it is our goal at Air Reading is to make high-quality reading instruction accessible to every child. We primarily offer tutoring services to help American elementary schools improve the reading levels of children most in need of support.If you meet our criteria below, please submit an application to our website: https://airreading.com/teachResponsibilities
- Teach online reading classes using Zoom with groups of up to 4 students for 30 or 40 minute sessions.
- Must be available to teach during school and after school hours (most classes offered between 6 am to 5 pm PST, Monday through Friday)
- Curriculum is provided with clear teaching directions
- Provide regular feedback about students.
- Maintain a positive and supportive learning environment that promotes student success.
- Up to $10 for each 30-min class and $16 for each 40-min classQualifications
- Bachelor's degree (or higher). Preferred in education, English, or other subjects indicative of expertise in reading and literacy
- Experience in teaching reading, ESL, and phonics in K–3
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual Spanish speaker a plus
- Proficient in using Zoom and other technologies for educational purposes.
- U.S. or Canadian work authorization required
