Full-Time Operations Coordinator, HB Coding (Remote)

• Overseeing daily operations, providing direction, training, and mentoring of staff.
• Monitoring Coding responsibilities for compliance with regulatory standards.
• Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the division.
• Designing and implementing workflow processes for continuous improvement.
• Participating in continuing education and providing education for operational processes.
• Preparing division schedule for adequate daily coverage.
• Collaborating with other divisions on maintaining content of the Team Site/SharePoint.
• Collaborating with manager to complete staff performance reviews.
• Counseling staff when required performance is not achieved.
• Responding to physicians, clinicians, support staff regarding issues related to systems and coding results.
• Coordinating the implementation of department-specific projects and leading system testing and staff training efforts.
• Monitoring staffing levels and work activity.
• Collaborating with the Epic team to ensure efficient workflows.
• Analyzing and identifying opportunities to reduce denials from a coding perspective.
• Assisting with budget preparation, identifying ideas for increasing efficiencies and cost savings.
• Participating in organizational meetings as required.
• Training new hires and on-boarding contract coders.
• Compiling monthly productivity and quality statistics and reporting the results.
• Identifying areas of educational opportunity through staff interactions.
• Facilitating staff huddles to educate team members and updating all resources on the Shared Drive.
• Assisting with administrative supervisory functions such as handling requests for paid time off (PTO), creating and maintaining schedules, managing staff hours and verifying accuracy of timesheets for payroll.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of department policies and procedures.
