About the Opportunity
Our Place-based team is looking for an Advisor to join their team in the Kimberley region. The role supports place-based initiatives by coordinating financial, contractual, and reporting systems. It also strengthens local partnerships and community engagement.
Reporting to the Head of Place, and mentored by the Principal Place-based, Broome.
Your daily tasks include:
- Supporting the partnerships process (establishment, onboarding, proposals, contracting, reporting, measurement & learning aligned with Place strategy).
- Managing partnership agreements (timely invoice & payment follow-ups).
- Providing finance support (supplier details, invoice/payment follow-ups, accurate account management).
- Assisting with monitoring budgets, financial reporting, and funding allocations.
- Coordinating workshops, meetings, and events between Place partners.
- Managing administrative governance of Place projects (ensuring key documentation is reviewed and filed).
- Working closely with Place Partner Communities and Bodies of Work to deliver localised initiatives, events, communications, and engagement activities.
- Coordinating funding application processes (liaising with local teams, managing timelines, assessing grants, and allocating funds).
About You
This role is for First Nations candidates with experience working with First Nations peoples. Tertiary study or experience in community development, communications, social impact, or similar is essential.
Additional requirements:
- Previous grant and partnership management experience (governance and administration).
- Experience working in government or the not-for-profit sector.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with partners and stakeholders.
- Analytical skills to support strategy with data and insights.
