We're looking for a hands-on Platform Engineering Manager to join our team and help drive the delivery of new features — while maintaining operational excellence.
In this role, you will:
- Directly manage a team of 5–6 senior platform engineers.
- Collaborate closely with them on improving and evolving our products and tooling deployment processes using automated / as code principles for different cloud targets, including Filigran’s internally-managed cloud, and public cloud providers AWS, Azure, and GCP.
- Contribute technically to these development activities and contribute structuring a growing team.
- Maintain a 50/50 split between technical contribution and team management.
Your Responsibilities:
- Own products & tools deployment automation and ensure timely delivery of new features
- Lead a team of 5–6 engineers: 1:1s, goal setting and evaluation, coaching, career growth, and overall team well-being
- Actively contribute to technical projects (hands-on!)
- Help define and maintain a culture of technical excellence and reliability
- Foster cross-team collaboration to ensure product deploy-ability
Who You’ll Work With:
You will report to the VP of Platform Engineering and work closely with him, Platform Staff Engineers and other Engineering Managers to shape the roadmap and drive team priorities.
You will collaborate with other engineering leaders and product teams to ensure product reliability and scalability, deployment of new features or new products.
You will be part of a collaborative, non-siloed team of ~16 platform engineers
Profile We’re Looking For:
- 8+ years of experience as a Cloud Engineer, DevOps, or Platform Engineer
- Previous success in managing or mentoring engineers, or strong motivation to evolve into a management role
- Proven experience in high-availability, production-grade environments as code (terraform, ansible) deployment in public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, …)
- Solid expertise in public cloud infrastructures and Kubernetes
- Comfortable with remote-first, asynchronous work
- Strong sense of ownership, autonomy, and team spirit
- Full professional proficiency in English, based in Europe with maximum -2/+2h gap from CET timezone
- Bonus: experience in python software development
