Full-Time Portfolio Delivery Manager

Portfolio Delivery Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery process of projects and programmes for the product pillar and the overall success and efficiency of Project Management delivery to NEC Public Safety customers.

Responsibilities:

• Ensuring Projects meet budget, time, and quality criteria.
• Leading a team of Programme and Project Managers.
• Resource management and optimization.
• Ensuring appropriate trained and skilled resources are aligned to meet business needs.
• Working from Chippenham and Nottingham with regular travel to other UK locations as needed.
• Travel for Customer/Supplier meetings as required.
• Developing and executing the overall project and programme delivery strategy.
• Managing the portfolio of projects and programmes (resource allocation, prioritisation, and scheduling).
• Collaborating with sales and business development teams to assess new opportunities.
• Providing insights and expertise for accurate and competitive pricing.
• Acting as an escalation point of contact for customers.
• Managing customer expectations and ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders.
• Overseeing management of third-party providers.
• Identifying and assessing potential project risks and issues.
• Developing risk mitigation strategies and contingency plans.
• Ensuring appropriate allocation of resources (human, infrastructure, and budget).
• Leading and managing a team of project and programme managers.
• Establishing and enforcing quality assurance processes.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives.
• Fostering collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams.
• Communicating project updates, risks, and milestones to stakeholders and customers.
• Formulating remediation plans (Continuous Service Improvement Plans).
• Demonstrating high performance leadership behaviour.
• Managing implementations and projects in a multi-disciplined team.
• Knowledge and delivery experience in Public Safety.
• Experience in delivering process optimization, efficiency gains, and improved customer outcomes.
• Experience in implementing standardized methodologies and frameworks.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and analysis skills.
• Strong leadership, planning, influencing, negotiating, and commercial/financial understanding skills.
• Conflict resolution experience.

Experience Required:

• Experience operating and influencing at a senior level.
• Strong experience of managing implementations and projects in multi-disciplined teams across multiple geographic locations.
• Knowledge and experience in Public Safety.
• Experience delivering process optimization, efficiency gains, and improved customer outcomes.
• Implementation of standardized methodologies and frameworks.
• Effective communication with customers and internal stakeholders.
