Role Summary: We are seeking a visionary and technically adept Principal Infrastructure Architect to lead the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance infrastructure ecosystems. This role will serve as a strategic partner to application teams, enabling seamless integration of full-stack solutions across hybrid environments. The architect will drive innovation in infrastructure design, ensuring alignment with enterprise goals and modern engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Infrastructure Strategy & Design: Develop and maintain the infrastructure architecture roadmaps to support critical business applications and services. Define hosting architectures across cloud native and hybrid platforms, partner with engineering teams on the usage and adoption of these architectures. Evaluate emerging technologies and align infrastructure capabilities with evolving business requirements. Align strategy and design with FinOps principles to optimize cloud spend.
- Resiliency, Availability & Performance: Ensure architecture designs meet enterprise standards for zero-trust, resiliency, disaster recovery, and high availability. Establish performance benchmarks and monitoring frameworks to guarantee optimal service delivery. Proactively identify risks and design mitigations to minimize downtime and business disruption.
- Security, Compliance & Risk Management: Embed security and compliance requirements into infrastructure design. Integrate DevSecOps practices and compliance validation. Collaborate with security and audit teams to ensure controls are implemented, tested, and attested. Implement governance processes that reduce risk and ensure consistent architectural practices.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Act as a trusted advisor to business stakeholders and executives, translating technical strategies into business value. Partner with application teams, system reliability engineers, and operations teams to ensure infrastructure is fit-for-purpose. Lead cross-functional discussions and decision-making for business-critical initiatives. Mentor and guide technical teams to uplift architectural practices and operational excellence.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Drive automation-first principles using Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and orchestration tools to accelerate delivery. Implement observability platforms to monitor service health and proactively detect issues. Evaluate and implement AI, Machine Learning, and Agentic frameworks to enhance productivity and reliability. Champion modernization initiatives to replace legacy systems with more secure, agile, and cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 15+ years in infrastructure architecture, systems engineering, or related domains
- Technical Skills: Proven track record designing infrastructure deployments supporting mission-critical self-healing enterprise systems. Expertise with cloud service providers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their broad portfolios of capabilities and services. Demonstrated proficiency in designing and implementing microservices and serverless architecture solutions. Strong understanding of AI services from leading hyperscalers. Solid grasp of secure AI infrastructure principles and integration with ML and AIOps. Strong knowledge of storage, compute, database management, container orchestration, and networking
- Leadership Skills: Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to balance long-term strategy with practical, tactical solutions.
