The Team The Customer Outcomes team at ServiceNow works with customers to achieve business outcomes by providing Customer Success services. The team accelerates customer adoption, enabling faster value realization, cost reduction, and risk reduction.
The Role The Customer Outcomes Platform Architect is an advisory role, helping customers establish a strong technical foundation in the ServiceNow Platform and design solutions. This involves establishing and supporting best practices in instance strategy, technical governance, core data, integrations, and platform health. This role is highly consultative; it does not perform platform configuration. Instead, it guides partners and customers to achieve goals through leading practices.
The role interfaces with customers across levels (executive, platform owner, enterprise architects, development teams) during selling, structuring, implementation, and ongoing operations of ServiceNow solutions.
Ideal Candidate Has enterprise architect experience and successful track record in management consulting (professional services or cloud software companies), focused on technology strategy, governance, data and solution design. Demonstrates ability to be a trusted advisor to senior executives, facilitating customer success through strategic planning, business value identification, road mapping, and advising on successful execution strategies, including governance frameworks and managing large enterprise programs.
Responsibilities
- Develop strong relationships with C-suite and business leaders to understand client vision and ServiceNow's role in digital transformation.
- Translate business objectives into actionable customer roadmaps.
- Collaborate with customer architecture personnel (enterprise and solution architecture) to analyze and translate business and technical requirements into architectural blueprints for complex business objectives.
- Position ServiceNow as the system of action for an integrated digital transformation roadmap.
- Establish and advise on technical governance domains and associated processes.
- Drive platform health by reviewing and guiding remediation of configurations and customizations not aligned with ServiceNow leading practices.
- Advocate and champion ServiceNow's advisory leading practices and industry use cases with clients.
- Contribute thought leadership (methodology and white papers) on optimizing customer outcomes through advisory and co-delivery.
- Guide customers through prescriptive solution design and technical implementation decisions.
- Define platform solutions aligned with delivered capabilities.
Requirements
- Consulting experience (preferred: Management Consulting, Big 4, Strategy Firm, or OEM software/cloud company)
- 3+ years in management consulting leadership roles at top-tier consulting companies focused on technology (digital/SaaS/enterprise software)
- Experience as an enterprise architect at Fortune 500 companies or OEM software/cloud companies.
- Career progression in technical architecture
- Experience working with functional business leaders to identify business objectives and develop outcome-focused roadmaps
- 5+ years of large program experience leading architecture and design
- Enterprise or Solution Architect role and/or relevant experience
- Data modeling, core data design, security, integrations, configuration management experience
- Cloud application technology experience (Salesforce, Workday, AWS, Azure, Oracle Cloud)
- 1-2 years of ServiceNow platform experience (desired but not required)
- Cloud platform experience desired
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms
