Seeking an experienced Senior Principal Product Manager to ensure security is prioritized in every new ServiceNow offering and design update.
Role responsibilities:
- Define and execute the security strategy and roadmap for new products or major changes, ensuring it meets customer needs.
- Work closely with engineering, design, and customer success teams to deliver security solutions.
- Collaborate with security teams to optimize usage of internal security products (Sec-Ops, IRM, SPM).
- Conduct market research and engage with customers to understand needs, workflows, and pain points for product decisions.
- Act as SME during initial rollout and provide support as needed.
- Analyze competitive offerings to ensure a competitive risk-to-profitability ratio and innovation.
- Assist sales and support teams in creating FAQs and governance documentation.
- Communicate critical messages and engage with diverse stakeholders throughout the product lifecycle.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication of project progress, risks, and outcomes.
- Participate in technical discussions and make design trade-offs.
- Assume leadership responsibilities as an accountable owner committed to the outcome.
- Lead efforts across teams, and influence within and outside the team.
- Build RACIs to identify decision-makers for application, product, and infrastructure services.
- Communicate the product vision effectively, write user stories, and interact with stakeholders.
- Translate complex problems into clear requirements and solutions.
- Utilize Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
- Manage multiple, complex projects with tight deadlines and cross-team dependencies (managing resources, SLAs, risks, schedules, and budgets).
- Create and manage project roadmaps aligning with company objectives.
- Influence and lead diverse teams towards common goals without direct authority.
- Utilize tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI) for project performance analysis.
- Inspire and lead teams without direct authority.
- Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and customer needs.
- Leverage or critically think about integrating AI into work processes.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years Security experience
- 5+ years ServiceNow experience (desired)
- 15+ years program management experience in infrastructure or software development
- 10+ years Business process management, process engineering, and process improvement
- Strong prioritization skills and focus on high-impact activities
- Experience defining and capturing product requirements and transforming them into a roadmap
- Deep curiosity about customer needs and a track record in building customer relationships and delivering customer-centric solutions
- MBA or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Technology (preferred)
