Contractor Product Designer (Design Systems)

Clutch is looking for a Product Designer (Design Systems) to help evolve the design foundation and bring consistency, quality, and speed to every customer experience.

This designer will spend around two-thirds of their time advancing the design system—building, documenting, and maintaining core patterns and components. The rest of the time, they’ll collaborate with product teams to apply and extend those systems.

Seeking someone who’s excited by the intersection of craft, systems thinking, and collaboration.

• Within 3 months: Build understanding of the Clutch product ecosystem and improve existing design system components.
• Within 6 months: Take ownership of key system areas and enhance design–dev collaboration.
• Within 9 months: Drive system adoption and champion cohesive user experiences.

• Experience: 3–5 years as a product designer, with design system experience.
• Skills: Strong skills in visual design, interaction design, and component architecture.
• Tooling: Advanced proficiency with Figma.
• Collaboration: Experience working cross-functionally with engineers and designers.
• Communication: Clear visual and written communication.
• Growth Mindset: A desire to learn and adapt.

• Familiarity with accessibility best practices or theming.
• Experience with fintechs and/or credit unions.
• Exposure to AI-assisted design.
