Initiate Government Solutions (IGS) is seeking a remote Product Manager to lead the development and delivery of API platforms and integration technologies for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
Responsibilities:
- Define and communicate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap.
- Collaborate with teams to gather, document, and prioritize requirements.
- Oversee the end-to-end delivery of product initiatives.
- Build strong relationships with internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks.
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Drive ongoing enhancements based on user feedback and technology trends.
- Ensure comprehensive documentation of product features and architecture.
- Ensure the platform adheres to security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and mentor a small team of product managers.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product management or IT project management.
- Experience in large-scale enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices architecture, and API management tools.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
- Proven track record of delivering complex IT projects in an Agile environment.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience with backlog management tools and project management methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred:
- Active VA Public Trust
- Prior experience supporting federal agencies, especially the Department of Veterans Affairs.
- Prior, successful experience working in a remote environment
