Role Expectations: A successful Product Manager leads and manages a business or product area within a brand. They identify customer value and iterative MVP solutions, collaborating with design and engineering. Directly engaging customers weekly to understand industry, pain points, and how product delivery solves problems. Engages internal stakeholders to drive product understanding and establish a strong public narrative for releases. Develops expertise through research, competitive analysis, and market trends. Owns the product roadmap, consulting Brand Product Lead before key changes.
Job Responsibilities:
- Owns planning, vision, and implementation of features for business/product area.
- Engages current and prospective customers to analyze needs, business practices, and future plans.
- Identifies areas of improvement and market opportunities.
- Engages stakeholders to support product releases and public narrative.
- Delivers clear product requirements to guide development team.
- Manages and grooms product backlog ensuring tickets are ready for sprints.
- Engages sales, marketing, and customer support to capture feedback and ensure seamless delivery.
- Aligns product roadmap with broader product strategy, balancing long-term investments, short-term wins, and tech debt.
- Participates in Scrum process and drives effective ceremonies (stand-ups, grooming, planning, retrospectives).
- Outlines key metrics for success and continuous measurement/iteration.
- Focuses on customer value and identifies MVP solutions minimizing time, effort, and risk.
- Identifies and eliminates low-value work for agile team.
- Engages design, research, and development to articulate customer pain points and build problem-solving processes.
