NBCUniversal's Data & Legal Solutions team operates as a central program operations group embedded across Ad Sales, Distribution, Marketing, Research, Technology, Legal, and HR as trusted partners. They implement strategic programs to close gaps between central business and technology groups. The team provides insights and structure for intelligent business decisions in today's complex media landscape.
The Product Owner will support legal and compliance functions, including NBCU Legal Operations, Litigation & Compliance, Employment & Labor Law, Rights IP, and Legal Affairs groups.
The Product Owner must understand best practices in Product Management, focusing on Legal Operations & Tools for the Legal Operations applications roadmap. They need to stay current with industry and technology trends to deliver tool adoption, improved user experience, simplified architecture, and compliant/secure solutions.
This role is a partner to multiple Business, Legal, and Engineering teams, fostering strong relationships for on-time roadmap delivery and internal KPI achievement.
The Product Owner owns delivery of new technology, including discovery, scoping, project phase definition, budget, vendor selection, and collaboration with Product, Engineering, and Architecture peers.
They establish and manage the post-go-live support team, focusing on on-going support and solution improvements.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of Product Management experience with On-Prem and/or SaaS solutions.
- Experience with Legal Operations/Technology.
- Expertise in the SDLC (Scoping, iteration planning, user stories, acceptance criteria, rollout, testing, defect management, issue resolution).
- Expertise in translating business needs to technical requirements.
- Strong interpersonal, communication (written and oral), and presentation skills.
- Strong technical understanding to manage and solve complex issues.
- Bachelor's or advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Product Management.
- Demonstrate best practice knowledge for Global Corporate Legal applications in a multi-country environment.
- Self-starter, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to manage competing/conflicting requests, build consensus, and manage stakeholder expectations.
- Adherence to NBCUniversal project methodologies and change control processes.
- Willingness to work off-hours as needed.
