AECOM is seeking a Program Management Director to be based in Jacksonville, FL. This job is open to remote work.
SUMMARY: The role described involves a high level of oversight and technical expertise in managing and advising on the implementation of a large infrastructure program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing the client with recommendations, advice, and deliverables as necessary for the successful implementation of strategic delivery approaches and other strategies.
- Part of program delivery includes providing specialized technical resources to assist in critical program activities and systems. Areas with specialized technical resources may include tunneling, seismic design, trainsets, trackwork, heavy maintenance facilities, system testing and commissioning, and facility operations and maintenance.
- Supports the management and planning of the work required for the program to meet applicable requirements, present a buildable solution, and meet operating requirements.
- Will have direct accountability and oversight of all services and functions provided by the Consultant, and will provide senior, strategic advice to the client.
- Provide and manage advisory and technical recommendations as requested by the client.
- Assist with the development, recommendation, and implementation of policies, as applicable, in relation to engineering management, engineering standards and technical requirements, infrastructure development, system development, design, and construction support including change management.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: BA/BS + 12 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education, including 4 years of leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Knowledge of principles and practices of high-speed rail project management
- Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, construction management, or other closely related curriculum
- Desired 20+ years of related experience
- Knowledge of high-speed rail track, system, and operation and maintenance
- Knowledge of principles and practices of the design and construction support projects
