Full-Time Programming Manager

• Responsible for overall service delivery and operations of programming functions for multiple channels within respective region
• Create, validate, and distribute program grids for primary and digital channels
• Monitor program changes and obtain network clearances as necessary
• Proactively monitor and track stations’ existing and future programming
• Assist with planning resources and workloads within the station/region, addressing peak times and special high-profile events
• Provide local program contingencies based on network operating conditions for live programs
• Ability to lead and manage Programming staff as well as support day to day activities
• Maintain and update quarterly and annual FCC Children’s Programming reports
• Ability to support and collaborate with teammates and work with various departments within stations that require involvement from Programming Operations

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in Programming or Traffic Operations
• Bachelors degree in media or related field, or equivalent work experience
• Superior management capabilities and ability to coach, mentor and train a team
• Strong verbal & written communication skills
• Must be available to work evenings, weekends, holidays; flexible to meet business needs
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States

Desired Characteristics:

• Knowledge of basic Microsoft Applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
• Knowledge of Wide Orbit Traffic and Compass
• Superior organizational skills - must possess the ability to manage multiple priorities with confidence and balance
• Strong analytical skills: Streamline, analyze, and present data to assist with management & divisional reporting and assist with strategic recommendations
• Excellent computer skills and willingness to regularly maintain and update systems
