We are looking for experienced and enthusiastic Senior Project Developers to join our Development team in Statkraft Italy.
As a Senior Project Developer, you will proactively develop Statkraft’s business in Italy in line with company targets, directly impacting commercial growth, profitability, and strategic direction. This role requires regular travel within Italy.
Your role includes supporting scouting and originating new projects, handling site and project technical due diligence, and all land and legal activities to finalize and execute land agreements according to SK standards.
Manage the development process for secured projects throughout the main phases (origination, land agreements, project design, permit application, post-authorisation up to Ready to Build (RtB)). Manage activities from Irrevocable Permit to shovel-ready status, collecting secondary permits and planning discharges, closely collaborating with the project delivery team.
Monitor and coordinate the development of the Statkraft project portfolio, interacting with supporting departments (wind, solar, storage). Support the internal construction team up to COD.
Effectively manage relationships with external stakeholders (development partners, public authorities, landowners, advisors). Coordinate work-streams across internal departments (Commercial, Engineering, Legal, Procurement).
Ensure economic viability of projects, managing assumptions and approval processes for technical and financial assessments.
Define and monitor the development budget, managing costs and project economics, and managing internal pipeline reporting.
Develop in-depth knowledge of local market legislation, regulations, and support schemes.
Your profile requires:
- Deep understanding of the Italian development process for renewable energy technologies (solar PV, wind), including site activities, interconnection, and permitting.
- Knowledge of associated business development costs (Devex, Capex, Opex).
- Solid project management skills and experience.
- Knowledge of the Italian electricity market (merchant, PPA).
- Understanding of the grid connection process, including interaction with grid operators (TERNA and E-distribuzione).
- Deep knowledge of solar/wind/storage technology and equipment costs.
- Basic knowledge of ancillary technologies.
- Strong international corporate environment experience with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Fluency in Italian and English.
